CHRISTMAS trees will adorn the church once again in Widecombe-in-the-Moor for the village’s annual Christmas tree festival.

The festival is being held in St Pancras Church, in the heart of the village, from December 16 to 20.

Mary Down, one of the organisers, said: ‘This beautiful church will be filled with trees of colour and light.

‘This year’s theme is ‘A book’ and some groups have been working hard at their chosen theme for months.

‘All the proceeds from this year’s event will be given to Make a Wish. This charity helps bring magical wishes and make dreams come true for poorly children.’
