PLANS have been announced to replace a busy junction between Chudleigh and Kingsteignton with a roundabout.

The junction of Clay Lane and the B3193 at Rixey Park is to be replaced with a roundabout, Bovey Tracey Town Council has been told.

County councillor Sally Morgan informed the town council that the temporary traffic lights at the junction had been vandalised, with battery packs having been stolen.

Cllr Morgan-Thomas said Devon County Council is intending to begin work soon, though no date was given.

‘They are hoping this will allow the traffic to flow better’, Cllr Morgan-Thomas said.

Bovey Tracey Town Council announcement received a mix response, with both praise and criticism in equal measure.
