A COLLECTION of classic cars fuelled the interests of the auto enthusiasts at the Devon County Show, with vehicles hailing from all eras.

Colin Homewood’s Austin harked back to one of the first mass produced cars in Britain. Being so old meant the vehicle was without its indicators.

‘I had to stick my hand out of the window to indicate for a while, which confused motorists,’ Colin explained.

Colin, who lives in Dawlish, has since installed lights to make his travels a little less perilous.

Colin Banks, who resides in the Teign Valley, dreamed of owning a Ford Mustang since he had a Corgi model of the muscle car as a boy.

‘But you grow up, live your life, you’ve got no money,’ said Colin.

After long negotiations with his wife, he settled on a candy apple red Mustang, which drew many admiring eyes at the show.
