NEWTON Abbot's attempts to provide a quality pedestrianised area in the town for both residents and visitors is being thwarted by vandalism.
The latest to be hit is a diamond shaped panel on the St Leonard's Tower clock face, after repeated vandalism to two of the three recently-installed interpretation boards.
Devon County Council spent hundreds of thousands of pounds pedestrianising Wolborough Street around the tower.
