Dawlish Swimming Club celebrated a year of achievements at Dawlish Leisure Centre. The ceremony saw Chris and Jo Chappell, club coach and principal swim teacher, hand over the reins, and present 'club colours' to new coach Sam Greensitt. It was an emotional evening for the out-going team. Jo Chappell has been teaching at the club since 1983, and before that she swam for the club. Chris Chappell has been club coach since 1997, and has seen the team rise from non-league through third, second and now first division. In short, he has presided over a revolution at Dawlish.
