TEIGNMOUTH and Shaldon are celebrating being two of Teignbridge's hat-trick of Quality Coast Awards.
Ness Cove, Shaldon, and Teignmouth town beach are two of the district's most popular beaches and the award confirms they are quality beaches with good quality bathing water.
The awards come as Dawlish Warren beach was awarded a record 13th Blue Flag.
Quality Coast Awards are given to beaches which meet a cross section of strict criteria including excellent cleanliness and free from litter and dog fouling, good condition and free of graffiti and vandalism as well as safe access, appropriate signage and safety procedures.
Cllr Sylvia Russell, Teignmouth councillor and Teignbridge Council executive spokesman for tourism, said: 'We are delighted to receive three Quality Coast Awards this year in addition to the Blue
Flag for Dawlish Warren.
'The news is testament to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by Teignbridge staff all year round in partnership with local traders.
"The aware criteria are very strict and there was a lot of competition this year so the fact that our beaches have succeeded once again is evidence that Teignbridge can offer top quality beaches with a selection of amenities right across the district."
A Quality Coast Award was also given to Coryton Cove in Dawlish.
Teignbridge Council hope the accolades will continue to help attract visitors in addition to providing local traders, the community and Teignbridge staff with an extra positive focus for the summer season.
