Coombeshead College, Newton Abbot, has won the opportunity to perform Billy Elliot the Musical.

Only 100 schools and youth groups nationwide have been given the rights to stage the production as part of a special ­project.

It was launched to coincide with the musical celebrating its fifth anniversary.
