'WHAT a year we have all been through. Learning to live with Covid 19, the war in Ukraine, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, rising costs of living and the ever-present climate emergency.
'As Town Mayor I would like to express my thanks to everyone in the community who have worked to support each other.
'When government services have failed us, you have all pulled together. Your hard work, generosity and kindness have been outstanding.
'Working in partnership with voluntary groups, businesses, the churches and the Town Council, residents have been provided with practical support, including free events and activities, warm spaces, food, and advice.
'If you need help or some company, the warm hub every Tuesday Morning at the Methodist Church in Bovey Tracey welcomes everyone.
'There is affordable food, a warm space with soup and a roll, access to Citizens Advice and the Community Fridge.
