A FORMER accountant from Newton Abbot who passed away last November has had a bench dedicated to him outside the community centre of which he was a trustee for more than sixty years.

Colin Power was a founding member of Newton Abbot Centre Association, which heads up the Courtenay Centre in Newton Abbot, and he remained a trustee up until his death at the age of 96.

In his memory a bench has been placed afront the centre which he championed for many years.
