Community walk to follow Dartmoor's Granite Tramway

Walkers can join a community walk along Dartmoor’s Granite Tramway on Saturday March 25, from 10am to 1.30pm.

The event is part of the Bovey Tracey Parishscape project, Granite Elements.

A spokesman said: ‘We’ll be walking down the Granite Tramway from Haytor Quarry to Pottery Pond in Bovey Tracey.

‘Along the way we’ll be sharing how we all know the Granite Tramway to develop inspiration for the Granite Elements project.’

The walk will be led by community artist Amanda Pellatt, meeting at Haytor Visitor Centre.

It will be approx six miles along moorland tracks at an easy pace. Walkers need outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, a drink and a snack.
