CONCERN is growing about the visual impact of a major solar farm being developed in countryside between Teignmouth and Dawlish.
The 43-acre project on the Ashcombe Estate lies in fields next to the B3192 across Little Haldon.
It should generate 7.5mW of electricity, approximately enough to power half the homes in Dawlish.
Permission was granted last year by an officer at Teignbridge Council without the matter going before the planning committee.
Now questions are being asked if ward member Cllr Alan Connett should have referrred it to the committee for consideration, given the site is within a protected Area of Great Landscape Value and seen by thousands of drivers, many of them visitors.
