THE long-awaited, and controversial, Teignmouth seafront skate park took another step forward at a meeting on Tuesday.

Town councillors agreed to lease the old paddling pool site from Teignbridge Council, and sub-let it to Teignskate, the body promoting the £100,000 facility.

Some members still had reservations about the promenade location, but the majority were enthusiastic.
