Teignmouth will be getting a spruce up thanks to a collaboration between two community groups.
The Alice Cross Centre and Teignmouth’s Guerilla Gardening group are taking part in the Great British Spring Clean with a community litter pick on Sunday March 29.
The event, which starts at the Alice Cross Centre at 10am, is open to all.
‘It’s a relaxed, feel-good morning out for the whole community,’ an Alice Cross spokesperson said. ‘Every little bit helps and it’s a great chance to chat, laugh, and do something positive for our local area,’ the spokesperson added.
Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, the Great British Spring Clean is the UK’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign. It was launched in 2016 and sees around 400,000 community-minded volunteers clearing litter from their neighbourhoods.
