TEIGNBRIDGE council leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers has answered critics demanding to know who had received his 14 tickets for the Radio One Big Weekend by saying they were given out as ‘random acts of kindness’.

Lib Dem leaders had queried who had been given Cllr Christophers’ 14 tickets and 10 given to deputy leader Cllr George Gribble, after each district councillor was allocated two tickets each.

The extra tickets had remained unclaimed by councillors who had officially been allocated two each by the BBC.

Faced with the tickets being left unused days before the concert, Cllr Christophers and deputy leader George Gribble decided to distribute them to ‘deserving causes’…
