Teignbridge Council Executive has recommended a freeze on council tax for the fifth year running despite facing difficult times ahead.
Discussing the initial financial plan draft proposals 2015-2016 to 2017-2018 on Tuesday, deputy leader Cllr Stuart Barker warned the council faced another difficult year.
'What we do know is that the levels of government grant we are getting in are going down at an alarming rate,' he said.
Leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers, echoed his comments saying: 'It is a very tight ship we are trying to run in very difficult times.'
