DISCOVER the diverse services offered by Devon County Council at this year’s Devon County Show as the authority returns to one of the county’s flagship events for 2026.
Devon County Show is one of the county’s flagship events, welcoming thousands of visitors each year, and an opportunity for Devon County Council to showcase the breadth of services it delivers across Devon and the partnerships it is a part of.
Taking place from Thursday, May 21 to Saturday, May 23, the council’s stand will once again bring together services and partner organisations, offering activities, advice and information for people of all ages.
This year, the council will be joined by: Fostering Devon and Adopt South West; Devon Bus Enhanced Partnership; Recycle Devon and Waste Management; Schools Library Service; Devon Resilience Innovation Project and the Devon Climate Emergency team; South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service; Public Health, Trading Standards and Communities.
The council is also pleased to have Camper Coffee joining it this year, providing refreshments throughout the show.
It will also once more have South West Water with their free water refill point, so don’t forget your reusable bottles.
A spokesperson for Devon County Council said: ‘Our stand will give showgoers the opportunity to learn more about our services, ask questions, take part in interactive activities and find out how Devon County Council and our partners work together to support residents, businesses and communities across the county.
‘ Throughout the show, you can enjoy live music performed by children and young people from across Devon on the bandstand (Avenue K), presented by Devon Music Education Hub. The Hub is led by Devon Education Services, part of Devon County Council.
‘You can experience a rich variety of live music on all three days of the show by visiting the bandstand on Avenue K, with music performed by children and young people from local schools and Devon Music Education Hub-supported activities across, Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay.
‘Also at the show, Farmwise will be back in their usual spot with lots for children to see and do – from cooking workshops, butter making and planting seeds, to new interactive activities about bees and forestry, alongside farm animals and impressive machinery.
‘Devon Food Partnership will also be located in the Farmwise area. Visitors can expect ‘The Bread Test’, ‘What’s in the Bag?’ and colouring ‘The Devon Rainbow’! Partnership members will be on hand to guide through the activities and chat about all things local food’.
