A MAN has appeared in court today after an armed police operation in Lustleigh over the weekend.

Officers swooped on the picture postcard village on Sunday afternoon after reports of a disturbance in the Parkfield area.

This morning, Wayne Anthony Robinson, 54, appeared before Exeter magistrates charged with three offences in relation to the incident.

He is accused of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, making threats to kill and affray.

Robinson was given conditional bail and ordered to attend Exeter Crown Court on November 18.
