A COURT has remanded a man on conditional bail for possession of a knife.

Stephen Northcott, 37, of Coronation Road, Newton Abbot, pleaded guilty to the charge of having an eight inch silver bladed kitchen knife in public in Coronation Road on March 30 2021.

A further charge of threatening to obtain petrol from a petrol station and burning a man’s house down was dismissed.

Magistrates adjourned the case until July 21 for a pre-sentence report.
