A NEWTON Abbot man has been jailed for two months for damaging a TV.

Joshua Clifford Kettle, aged 27, pleaded guilty to damaging the television belonging to Linda Kettle. He was jailed for two months.

He must also pay £154 to fund victim services.

Kettle also admitted assaulting PC Langfrod in the execution of his duty. No separate penalty was imposed but this was taken into account when he was sentenced.

He also admitted breaking a window at another woman’s house, causing £250 of damage. He was sentenced to two months in prison to run concurrently with the other prison sentence.

South and West Devon Magistrates’ Court said the jail sentence had been imposed because the ‘offence was so serious because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for people and their property.’

Charges against him of assaulting a woman by beating and making threats were dismissed by the court.
