A MAN has been sent to prison for three offences of shoplifting in Newton Abbot.
Ross Norman, 29, of Carlton Terrace, Dawlish, admitted the charges of stealing from three shops in the town on August 10 2022.
The court heard he stole various items from Boots including a shaving set, an electric toothbrush, trimmer and fire pairs of sunglasses to the value of £523.99.
He also stole a £59 Puma tracksuit from Sports Direct and a bottle of Hugo Boss perfume from department store Austins.
Magistrates ordered a prison sentence of 10 weeks for each offence, to run concurrently.
Norman was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and prosecution costs of £85.
