A NEWTON Abbot man has denied an assault charge.

William Ivor John Mitchell, aged 33, of Broadlands Avenue, pleaded not guilty to assaulting another man, causing him actual bodily harm.

South and West Devon Magistrates’ Court remanded him on conditional bail until January 5.
