A velodrome could be back on the agenda as part of Teignbridge Council's ambition to make 'more people, more active, more often'.

Councillors supported the idea of making Teignbridge a cycling district of excellence.

The district already has a head start with the Haldon Forest cycling trails, BMX tracks and cross country routes. There are plans for a cycle and footpath linking Exeter, via the Exe estuary, up to Moretonhampstead as part of the national Sustrans project.
