It’s been so hot on Dartmoor lately these wild ponies seem to be chancing their luck on an ice cream.
Photographer Gavin Fabiani-Laymon spotted the animals as they appeared to wait patiently at an ice cream van in a car park during the heatwave.
He said: ‘I was just driving past and it captured my imagination.
‘It looked like they were queueing for an ice cream. I couldn’t resist it.
‘They looked like they were hoping someone would give them an ice cream.
‘We are told not to feed them though, as then they will pester people more.’
