PLANS to build more than 12,000 homes in the district by 2033 have been challenged by both environment groups and developers.

Those hoping to save fields from the bulldozer have argued the figure is too high.

Landowners suggest it is not enough and that under-supply will force prices up.

Both those for and against have claimed flawed data has been used to arrive at the 12,400 figure.
