FIREFIGHTERS in Dawlish have been practising their drill skills at a business premises.

Teignmouth Marine Services Ltd allowed the Dawlish crew to use its unit at Dawlish Business Park for training.

A spokesman for Dawlish fire station said: ‘ Thank you to TMS Ltd for allowing us to use their premises for our breathing apparatus drill night.

‘A great local space where we could practice our skills.’

A spokesman for TMS said it had been an ‘exciting evening’.

They added: ‘TMS Ltd had the honour of being approached by our local fire station to host their routine exercise at our Dawlish premises.

‘In an impressive display of skill and adaptability, the firefighters conducted their drills with bin bags covering their face masks, simulating zero-visibility conditions.

‘We are thrilled to support our community's safety efforts and provide a space for these essential training exercises.

‘A big thank you to our local heroes for their dedication and hard work.’
