RESIDENTS in Dawlish have been invited to take part in the National Moment of Reflection

The government has announced there will be a minute’s silence at 8pm on Sunday, the evening before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral.

Dawlish Town Council has invited as many people as would like to do so to join the mayor of Dawlish, Cllr Lisa Mayne, at the bandstand on the Lawn at 7.55pm on Sunday in readiness for the silence at 8pm.

If you have a mobile phone, you will be invited you to use it as a torch light as a symbol as part of the moment of reflection when asked to put it on by the mayor. Please do not bring lit candles onto the Lawn.

For those unable to be at the bandstand on the evening you may like to observe the silence on your doorstep or in your home to be part of the National Moment of Reflection.
