Dawlish mayor Cllr Helen Humphries has lost her seat on the town council. She came seventh in an eight-horse race for the Dawlish South West Parish which resulted in the election of independent candidates Becky Willoughby and Katie Henley who stood on the Voices For Dawlish ticket. Another independent, John Petherick, took a seat on the district council after taking second spot in the fight for the Dawlish Central and North East Ward.
