RESIDENTS in Dawlish came together to mark the UK National Day of Reflection.

Despite the rain, a handful of people came to the Bandstand to recognise the event to mark the loss of loved ones.

Organised by charities including Marie Curie, the event was an opportunity to remember loved ones who have died, to support people who are grieving, and connect with each other.

The aim was to mark the day with a minute’s silence at noon, a nationwide network of Walls of Reflection, and a series of grief-themed online programmes.
