THE MAYOR of Dawlish is to host the town’s first beer and cider festival.

It is hoped the festival, to be held on Saturday March 28, will become the first of many.

Local brewers have been invited to take part in the event which takes place at the Strand Centre between noon and 10pm.

The festival will be in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities for his year in office which are AIMS support group for families with children with special needs; Assist Teignbridge and The Strand Community Centre itself.
