DECORATORS from Heathfield are to tone down Kennford's 'shocking pink' cottage.

Heathfield-based businessman Tony Lamar and his army of helpers have agreed to repaint Lantern Cottage, which remains under a legal threat to switch colours after Teignbridge Council declared the property was too bright.

Occupants Ann Kennedy and Mark Kent are delighted that Mr Lamar and his colleagues have stepped in to save the day with a less obtrusive shade of cherry plum paint.
