Teignmouth Farmers’ Market has thrown out an invite to local shoppers to meet the farmers at their monthly market.
A spokesperson for the Farmers’ Market said: ‘Now is the time to visit the Teignmouth Farmers’ Market whose stallholders are all farmers or producers making, baking, growing, raising, preserving or brewing their delicious offerings.
‘Rediscover the variety of local foods available right here in our area.
‘It may be the hungry gap at Shillingford farm but Martyn still has local greens and the basics of a healthy veggie diet.
‘We welcome back John from Little Leigh farm with chicken, eggs for Easter, Scotch eggs for any time and their new dry cured bacon.
‘Higher Humber now have lambs gambolling in their fields and Dave from Norsworthy with freshly made goat’s cheeses (no kidding).
‘Please order in advance if you want something special for your Easter celebrations—the stalls have been known to sell out of their most popular foods.
‘See you in the Triangle between 10am and 2pm this Saturday, March 27.
‘Meet the farmers who bring you all this abundance at this monthly market. All produce comes from within 30 miles of Teignmouth and sold by the people that produce it. Keep it real, keep it local, and make it happen.’
