CANCER support group organiser Sue Thompson said she was 'over the moon' at the result of a fundraiser at One Stop, The Strand, Dawlish.
An assistant at the shop, she also runs Bosom Pals, the Dawlish cancer support group, and it collected £554.15, outside and inside the store.
Sue, who thanked everyone for their help, said:?'People were buying raffle tickets, not even wanting to know what the prizes were, or just putting money in to our collecting buckets as they passed.'
Chelle Ellis, manager of the store, said: 'I'm really pleased for Sue and the group.
'I know it was my idea, but all the staff showed great enthusiasm for the weekend and all were happy to wear the Bosom Pals t-shirts, even the area manager, Paul Twydell.
'He also came on Saturday, his day off, to help Sue and her volunteers sell the raffle tickets.'
l Sue had the bonus of meeting and having her photo taken with broadcaster and former Cabinet minister Michael Portillo (right), who was filming in Dawlish.
