A SIGHT loss charity celebrating 100 years of service is coming to a Newton Abbot community centre next month.

Since 1925, Devon in Sight has been supporting those affected by sight loss, helping them to live life to the full.

To celebrate its centenary year, it will be hosting its ‘Living Well with Sight Loss Event’ all over the county.

And its next event is being held in Newton Abbot, on Thursday, June 5.

The Devon in Sight team will be joined at the Courtenay Centre alongside several exhibitors, including Blind Veterans UK, Devon Carers, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and many more besides.

Sarah Small, Head Office and Marketing Manager at Devon in Sight, said: ‘Our Living Well with Sight Loss events continue to prove extremely beneficial for anyone affected by sight loss!

‘It is always such a pleasure meeting with members of the community and being able to provide attendees with useful advice and guidance.

‘It is also a great opportunity for our clients to connect with, and learn more about our exhibitors, what they do, and the help they can offer.’

These events are hosted in partnership with Sight and Sound Technology, the UK’s leading provider of equipment, software, and services for people who are blind and partially sighted.

The event at the Courtenay Centre will take place between 10am and 2pm.
