DEVON’S Bus Enhanced Partnership has picked up Silver at the UK Bus Awards 2025, putting it among the top-performing bus partnerships in the country.

The judges recognised the strength of collaboration across local operators, from Stagecoach South West to smaller companies like Tally Ho!, and Devon County Council, working together under the county’s Bus Service Improvement Plan.

Representatives from Devon were at the awards ceremony in London, including Cllr Jacqi Hodgson, Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Biodiversity, and senior figures from local bus operators.

The partnership says the recognition marks a key moment in its work to improve services, boost passenger experience and accelerate the shift to greener, more sustainable travel across Devon.

The partnership was recognised in the Partnership for Excellence: The Peter Huntley Memorial Award category, which this year attracted an exceptionally strong field of entries from across the UK.

The awards ceremony saw industry leaders, operators and local authorities gathered to celebrate excellence in delivering better, more sustainable bus services nationwide.

The award reflects the impact of the partnership’s ongoing transformation of the county’s bus network, supported by the investment of the Bus Service Improvement Plan funding from the Department for Transport.

The funding is helping to improve services, enhance passenger experience and accelerate the transition towards greener, more sustainable travel across Devon.

Cllr Hodgson said: ‘It’s fantastic to see Devon recognised among the top partnerships in the UK.

‘This award reflects the dedication of all our partners and the positive changes now being felt by passengers across the county.’

Peter Knight, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, said: ‘Achieving Silver at a national level is a tremendous result for everyone involved.

‘It shows the strength of our collaboration and the real progress we’re making for communities across Devon.’
