A DISABLED Shaldon couple who knocked down a garden wall to create a parking area have fallen foul of the conservation regulations.

Paul and Jane Brooks say their specially adapted Fiat 500 is essential to get them out and about, and Albion Street is too narrow to park it.

The front wall was removed after they bought Periwinkle Cottage earlier in the year, and there is just enough room to fit the little car.
