More than 40 floral displays were on show at St Michael the Archangel Church, Chagford, from July 15-17.,The colourful arrangements marked the 750th anniversary of the dedication of the church by Bishop Branscombe in 1261.,Each creation, made by organisations in the parish and wider community, depicted a period in the church's history.,As part of the celebrations, morning coffees, lunches and afternoon teas were served in Chagford Jubilee Hall.,Chagford Primary School were also involved, they hosted an exhibition about the church, while in Endecott House there was a craft fair showcasing the work of residents.,To mark the dedication, there was also an evening of music and words from each of the centuries since 1261.,The weekend was concluded with an evening service on Sunday.,The event was funded following a plant sale in May and those involved gave their time and donated flowers.,'There was a real sense of community and fellowship,' said Lucy Shields, who was on the team who organised the festival.
