Savings of almost £3.5 million in the next three years will cost jobs, leaders at Teignbridge Council have said.Also on the cards are reductions in services, plus rises in council tax bills and car parking charges. Up to 11 posts at the authority are likely to be axed or left vacant in the coming year with more to follow. The savings should come from people opting for early retirement although compulsory redundancies cannot be ruled out.Those who stay will have to accept pay rises of little more than one per cent.
