EVERY summer an age-old game of cat and mouse takes place on the coastline.
Youngsters of all ages dip in and out of the waves trying to dodge the bigger breakers.
Whether they succeed or not there’s plenty of fun to be had either way.
It’s a joyful sight, and a safe one if parents exercise caution and common sense.
These children couldn’t resist the thrill of battling the waves last weekend at Dawlish, and Gazette photographer Bob Simpson was fortunate enough to be on hand to capture this charming shot.
