THE RSPCA, police and Teignbridge Council’s dog wardens are investigating a ‘disturbing’ video of a dog attack which is being shared on social media.

The video, which we are not willing to share, appears to show an attack by two dogs on a greyhound.

Neighbours have reported the incident to the relevant authorities.

Kingsteignton Town Council said on social media: ‘We are aware of disturbing footage circulating on social media which appears to show dogs fighting on private property at a location in South Devon.

‘We are working with our partners including the Police and RSPCA in this matter.’

A spokesperson for the RSPCA confirmed it was being investigated but that the police were taking the lead on the matter.

A police spokesperson said: ‘We have been made aware of some disturbing footage circulating on social media which appears to show dogs fighting on private property at a location in South Devon.

‘We are working with our partners including the RSPCA on this matter.

‘Only one dog now remains at the property and investigations are ongoing. We are unable to comment further on this matter at this time.’
