POLICE are appealing for information after a man had his dog stolen from Newton Abbot town centre.

The owner, who took a little nap on a bench in Victoria Gardens, woke up to find his beloved Shih Tzu Anna and a pair of sunglasses had vanished.

His beige four-legged friend, who is microchipped and has black muzzle, was pinched between 4pm and 7pm on April 13.

Anyone who has any information is being asked to contact the police on 101 quoting CR/32082/17.­
