NEWTON Abbot Library is gearing up to host a free health and wellbeing event.

The event, which takes place from 9am to 1pm on Wednesday, January 24, is a key highlight of the library’s ongoing ‘Libraries for Life’ campaign, which emphasies the crucial role libraries play in supporting the community.

As well as offering warm, welcoming spaces, the campaign aims to provide access to groups, resources and facilities within our libraries to help people all over Devon and Torbay struggling with the cost of living crisis this winter.

The Health and Wellbeing Fair will offer a diverse range of resources, information, and activities aimed at enhancing health and wellbeing; attendees will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of a healthy lifestyle, including physical and mental health support.

The overall goal of the fair is to encourage visitors to take proactive steps toward a healthier lifestyle.

‘We believe that by providing access to information and resources across key areas, we can empower individuals to make positive choices that contribute to their overall wellbeing’ a spokesperson for Newton Abbot Library said.

‘Entry is free and we encourage people to take advantage of the day, whether they are seeking solutions for a specific issue or just want to see what services and groups are available to them, we look forward to seeing them there!’ the spokesperson added.
