A THEATRE company's much-loved 'Playtime' session is to make its debut at a Teignbridge library.

Buckfastleigh Library is set to host Playtime, a play-along theatre adventure for two to six year olds and their parents, on Monday, May 22.

Playtime was created by The Last Baguette, a theatre company that makes works for families, in partnership with Pound Arts and Wiltshire Libraries in 2021: it is supported by Arts Council England.

A spokesman for Buckfastleigh Library said: 'There will be silliness, play-acting, games and music - expect to play, move, watch and laugh.

'Playtime is a fun and gentle introduction to theatre with play-along storytelling, original music, puppetry, theatre games, movement, craft and lots of imaginative play.

'It is an invitation for children and grown ups to play together; an accessible, gentle, fun & lightly educational session where everyone can relax, be creative & enjoy themselves through theatre.'

Playtime has visited art centres, libraries, village halls, community centres, nurseries and pre-schools, and now libraries, Buckfastleigh Library soon to be among them.

► Buckfastleigh Library will host Playtime on Monday, May 22: two sessions are planned, the first from 10am to 11am and the second from 12pm to 1pm.
