DOZENS of people attended a meeting in Chudleigh on Monday evening to say how they would like health and social care to develop.
The consultation was called by the South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group, the new body which oversees community services in the 'Moor to Sea' area from Widecombe to Dartmouth.
Its predecessor, the Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care Trust, sparked a storm of protest when it announced last year that it wanted to close inpatient beds in Bovey Tracey and Ashburton.
It claimed transferring the service to Newton Abbot would constitute an improvement by providing up-to-date facilities in a central location.
