A man aged 23 was killed outright in a two-car collision on the southbound A380 in Kingsteignton on Monday.

The man, named as James Wallis, was returning home from his work as assistant manager at Burger King in Exeter.

It is believed that he died instantly after his blue Peugeot 306 was in collision with with a red Vauxhall Frontera in the fast lane and then hit the central reservation.

The collision happened at 5.25pm between the off-slip and on-slip roads of the Ware Barton junction.
