A DRIVER has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash on the A38 near Buckfastleigh this morning.

Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway at around 8.35am on Tuesday, June 30, after reports of a collision involving one vehicle.

Police said the driver was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The incident has led to disruption on the A38, with a road closure currently in place.

Traffic is being affected between Peartree Junction and Dartbridge Junction, where one lane remains closed.

Motorists are being advised to expect delays and consider alternative routes while emergency services continue to deal with the incident.
