AN E-scooter rider from Kingsteignton has been sent to the Crown Court.

Dane Anthony James Baker, aged 37, of Newton Road, Kingsteignton, admitted riding a Mi.Com e-scooter in Market Walk, Newton Abbot, without insurance.

He also pleaded guilty to riding the e-scooter while disqualified from holding a driving licence.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court committed him to Exeter Crown Court on May 1 on both charges as he had committed the offences during the operational period of a Crown Court suspended sentence.

Barker admitted breaching the suspended sentence order.
