TWO Swedish students have spent three weeks learning about all things business at Newton Abbot College. Herman Avsarki and Mustafa Attaie, from Bromangymnasiet school in Hudiksvall, shadowed admin staff to get a better understanding of how the college works.
The College has had links with the Swedish school for ten years, which regularly sends staff to share expertise and offer students the chance to experience English culture.
Mustafa said: ‘The college has been very welcoming. Our English has improved over the three weeks and we will be taking ideas back to Sweden to implement in our school environment.
‘We have learned a lot interacting with staff and students.’
Newton Abbot College’s business manager Nick Hill said: ‘This is the second time we have welcomed work experience students into our college community. ‘Herman and Mustafa have been very engaged, learning a huge variety of business disciplines that will stand them in good stead for their future careers.
‘The college is excited to be able to build strong links with Bromangymnasiet and we look forward to continuing this growing relationship.’
