Year 6 pupils at Wolborough C of E Primary School, Newton Abbot, have been designing an artwork display to commemorate Armistice Day 2016.
They began the project by studying different pictures of poppies and looking at the different textures and shades of red that made up the petals.
They then had a go at mixing as many different shades of red as they could before using them to paint their poppies.
Each child did their own individual canvas and the trio of Kiera, Grace and Olivia designed the beautiful centrepiece, pictured right, with its range of different reds and textures.
Templer Class’s poppy display is on show at St Paul’s Church, Newton Abbot.
