YOUNGSTERS have been hard at work coming up with designs for the front page of the Moretonhampstead magazine, News in Moreton.

The town’s primary school is set to feature in January’s edition, showcasing some of the children’s work.

Editor Peter Murphy decided to challenge the pupils to come up with a good front page.

Three representatives went into the school last week to pick three of their favourite designs.

Assistant headteacher Anne Burns said: ‘It has been really rewarding for all the staff to see what the children want to say about our school.

‘It has been so heartwarming to realise just how much our children value and appreciate our school and all the opportunities that they are given.

‘It was great to see the volume of entries for the cover competition and I don’t envy the magazine committee having to select a finalist from a very strong field.’
