A STINGING rebuke to Prime Minister Theresa May has been fired off by Devon’s education chief over the Government’s unfair funding formula.

James McInnes has despatched the jointly-signed missive to Number 10 urging its occupant to take action over the proposed new national funding system that could see scores of Devon schools lose out, including South Dartmoor Community College, Ashburton, and a string of primary schools across Teignbridge.

Cllr McInnes is one of many signatories from disenchanted councils around the UK who represent the lowest-funded education authorities in the campaign group f40.
